Coaching

Our method of coaching is to guide individuals towards their own solutions. Where appropriate, we adopt a mentoring/training approach to input skills or experience which may help the coachee in progressing towards achieving agreed upon objectives.

We apply a number of tools and experiences to our coaching and facilitation work, including being an accredited facilitator of the Clarity 4D™ profile and the Strength Deployment Inventory (Level 2). We provide a varied, client-centred approach, which is strongly outcome-based, built on our business experience working with functional and account teams within corporates and non-profit organisations. “Her coaching was expertly tailored to the rapid pace of my working environment, the strengths and shortcomings of my personality and my a-typical career goals.”(Senior Manager, subsequently promoted to Technical Director)

Approach

  • Establish clear coaching outcomes with the client in order to be able to measure what has been achieved at the end of the intervention.
  • Build a preliminary understanding of the industry and company/division.
  • Confirm who will be coached, their specific needs (at an intake session with the coachee) and their readiness for coaching.
  • Sign a coaching contract with the coachee(s), detailing session timing, confidentiality and cancellations conditions.
  • Commence the programme and provide a preliminary feedback session to the client half way through the programme.
  • Conclude the intervention and report back to the client on outcomes achieved and any further learning needs.

We have been instrumental in helping to launch the concept of transition coaching as it applies during the period of maternity, to the South African marketplace. We work one-on-one (or in small workshops) with women before, during and after maternity leave to assist them in maximising work/life integration and ensuring that their vital skills are not lost to the workplace.
